The correct posture during sitting

Office workers uses computer for long period of time. It is not uncommon for them to have neck and back pain. A poor sitting posture may account to it and maintaining a correct sitting posture is of vital important for its prevention.

The correct sitting posture is as follows

 

  1. The centre of the monitor should be at a level of 15 degree down from your eye level
  2. The upper 1/3 of the monitor should be at your eye level
  3. Elbow should rest comfortably on the hand rest
  4. Elbow should be at around 80-100 degree bending
  5. The monitor should be around 20-26 inch away
  6. There should be distance for around one fist between the back of your leg and the edge of chair
  7. Have a back support that support the spine
  8. Feet can rest steadily on ground
  9. Comfortable height of the chair
  10. Back rest that supports the normal spine curvature if needed
  11. Prevent long time of sitting
  12. Stretching ex perform regularly
