Dr. Lai graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Physiotherapy programme. Since then, he has worked in different hospitals and rehabilitation centres in Hong Kong including Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Kowloon Hospital. In 1985, he went to Australia to pursue his Master degrees in Sports and Orthopaedics Rehabilitation. Then, Dr. Lai started his own private clinic in Australia, specializing in sports injuries and work rehabilitation, in 1989. During this period, Dr. Lai served both the state and national baseball teams of Australia. In addition, he acted as a consultant for occupational health and safety and work ergonomics. In late 1990s, Dr. Lai returned to Hong Kong and was employed by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as the Rehabilitation Clinic Manager. He also worked as a Physiotherapy clinic manager of Union Hospital. In 2008, he obtained his PhD degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on work rehabilitation and psychology of the injured workers. He has published research papers in international renowned journals.
Dr. Lai is the founder of Prime Rehabilitation Services with the vision to provide quality and holistic rehabilitation services to Hong Kong community. He is interested in musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, ergonomic assessment and work rehabilitation. Dr. Lai believes that a holistic approach combining hand-on techniques, Chinese acupuncture as well as tailor-made therapeutic exercises can provide better outcomes for patients.
Ms. Li graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy. As an experienced physiotherapist who worked in different private clinics after graduation, she helps patients with various problems such as musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries and work rehabilitation.
Ms. Li believes that both physical and psychological well-being is vital to the recovery of an patient. In order to deliver a holistic treatment, she further her studies and obtained a Diploma in Acupuncture, Moxibustion and Clinical Hypnotherapy. She furthered her study in Aromatherapy and is determined to help patient’s recovery with acupuncture, exercise therapy and manual therapy.
Mr. Tong obtained his Bachelor degree (Physiotherapy) in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Since then, he has developed his interest in treating spinal conditions and sports injuries and work injury rehabilitation. He is a certified personal trainer from National Academy of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness Association of Hong Kong. He has also studied Craniosacral therapy and spinal adjustment therapy to enhance his manual therapy skills. Mr. Tong is also a certified practitioner in acupuncture, and he continues to enrich his skills by completing certificate on Wrist-Ankle Acupuncture, Concept Oriental Manual Therapy and Clinical Application of Five Shu Points. Combining various skills, acupuncture technique and active exercises, Mr. Tong achieves very good outcomes for back and neck conditions, sports injuries and work rehabilitation with his clients.
Ms. Kwok graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy. She furthered her studies and obtained a professional diploma in Acupuncture from the Hong Kong Baptist University. Ms. Kwok is specialized in acupuncture, manual therapy, prescribing therapeutic exercises and post-operative rehabilitation.
Ms. Kwok has learned a wide variety of treatment techniques including positional release technique and sports injury management. She is also an instructor of clinical pilates, which is very effective in training back and neck stabilization muscles as well as treating chronic spinal problems. Ms. Kwok had also been an on-field physiotherapist for Oxfam Trail Walker.
Ms. Lung obtained her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She furthered her studies and obtained her Masters degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy. Since her graduation, Ms. Lung has been working in private clinics and is an experienced physiotherapist.
Ms. Lung has been continuing her education to improve her knowledge and skills. She has completed her studies in muscle energy techniques, lymphatic drainage, positional release techniques and acupuncture. Despite she has already been certified as an Acupuncture Practitioner, in order to acquire advanced techniques in treating her patients, she deliberately went to China to enhance her acupuncture and manual skills. To conclude, Ms. Lung is a professional and dedicated physiotherapist who aims at providing treatments and delivering services to her patients through a holistic and patient-centered approach.
Mr. Chan is a registered physiotherapist, graduating from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1982. He has been working as a physiotherapist for more than 36 years and has been active in professional and voluntary services in Hong Kong. He had worked in public hospital and non-government organization, serving elderly and people with physical or mental disabilities . He graduated as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner in 2008 and is a member of the Hong Kong Association for Integration of Chinese-Western Medicine. Starting from 2014, he has been invited as the guest lecturer of various programmes. It includes courses on Pain, Stress management and SEN (Special Education needs) clients offered by Hong Kong Society of Professionals Training as well as courses organized by The World Young Women’s Christian Association and Employees Retraining Board.
His major areas of expertise are musculoskeletal pain management, Chinese Medicine for emotional sickness, anti-aging management and health cultivation.
Mr. Dennis Chan joined Prime Rehabilitation Services in 2018. Prior to Prime, Dennis worked in public hospital setting for several years where he gained experience in rehabilitation services in various specialties.
Dennis is a registered physiotherapist and an accredited acupuncture practitioner. He graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and MSc in Manipulative Physiotherapy.
Since obtaining professional qualification, Dennis has completed different physiotherapy courses on acupuncture, taping etc. He is also determined to polish his manual techniques through participating in various certificate courses. Together with the skills, Dennis will make endeavour with his heart to provide comprehensive treatments to every clinent.
Upon graduation from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Joe worked in public hospital setting where he gained extensive experience in orthopaedic rehabilitation, pain management, and sports rehabilitation. He strived to improve his skills by attending courses including modern acupuncture and Fascial Manipulation®, and became an accredited acupuncture practitioner and an Schroth Best Practice Program Therapist. Joe also has special interest in sports rehabilitation. Apart from learning skills such as BLACKROLL® and sports taping, he completed his Master degree in Sports Medicine and Health Sciences from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also provided on-field physiotherapy services to players in the local rugby community league afterwards.
Joe believes that with a combination of treatment skills and exercise, along with his heart, that his patients can receive the best care.
Miss Chan graduated from BSc Science (Physiotherapy) at Coventry University and now is a registered Physiotherapist in Hong Kong and UK. She worked in Hospital Authority in Hong Kong after graduation and gained experience in various fields, such as orthopedics and traumatology.
To expand the treatment options in formulating a coherent treatment plan,she has participated in various courses and activities such as modern acupuncture, spinal manipulation, sport massage and myofascial scraping courses. She has also worked in a half marathon in the UK offering comprehensive assessment and treatments to athletes.
She hopes that she could deliver early education in prevention and rehabilitation to public and therefore minimize or reduce the severity of the injury.
